SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS AND GUIDELINES
Please prepare your abstract as a Microsoft Word or PDF file. The abstract should be a short summary of your original research (not previously published) and written as a single paragraph in English.
1. Please include the following content in your abstract:
- Title
- Authors - presenting author listed in bold with an asterisk (*)
- Institutional affiliations
- Disclosures
- Introduction / gaps in knowledge
- Specific aims / objectives
- Methods statement that includes species, age, sex of experimental subjects, and efforts to ensure scientific rigor such as sample size, blinding, and control groups.
- Results. Data may be conveyed by a combination of Methods and Results, e.g., the technique followed by the data
- Discussion / conclusions / take-home message
2. Use standard abbreviations for units of measure. Other abbreviations and acronyms should be fully spelled out on first mention.
3. Do not exceed one 8.5” x 11” page. Keep margins no less than 1 inch.
4. Use no smaller than 12-point font size. Arial or Helvetica font recommended.
5. One figure allowed (not required)
